서울 도시공간 미래상을 담은 최상위 계획인 ‘2040 서울도시기본계획’이 지난 3월 발표됐다. 서울시가 제시한 6대공간 계획은 ①‘보행 일상권’ 도입 ②수변 중심 공간 재편 ③중심지 기능 강화로 도시경쟁력 강화 ④다양한 도시모습, 도시계획 대전환 ⑤지상철도 지하화 ⑥미래교통 인프라 확충이다.
특히 주목할 만한 부분은 한강 등 수변을 중심으로 한 공간 재편이다. 서울 한강철교 남단지역인 옛 노량진수산시장과 노량진역 일대를 여의도와 용산을 연결하는 한강변복합거점으로 탈바꿈한다. 옛 노량진수산시장 부지 민간개발과 연계해 노량진 일대를 경제활동과 주거, 문화를 한꺼번에 누릴 수 있는 한강변 대표 복합도시로 재편한다는 구상이다. 이와 함께 여의도와 노량진을 직접 연결하는 차량, 보행 기반시설도 구축한다.
